Updating your Amazon Fire Device

Keeping your hardware up to date ensures device performance stability and the best experience of your installed apps. The following steps will guide you through checking your Amazon Fire TV or Fire Stick TV device for manufacturer OS updates. 

  1. Click the button to get to the Amazon home screen 

  2. Click into Settings → My Fire TV →  About

  3. Scroll down to "Check for Updates"

    1. If an update is available, you will an "Install Update" button

    2. If there are no updates, you will see the message '"Your Fire TV is up to date"
