# Creating & Managing Channels in Seed Manager

#### **Creating and Managing Channels: Step-by-Step Guide**

1. **Access the Channels Page**
   
     - Expand the TV menu.
     - Select "Channels" from the dropdown.
2. **Search for Existing Channels (if necessary)**
   
     - Use the search bar to keyword search for specific channels.
     - View channels by selecting options: All Channels, Live Channels, Not Live Channels, or Hidden Channels.
     - Note: The page defaults to show all stores. Adjust visibility by selecting a specific store if needed.

3. **Create a New Channel**
   
     - Click the "New Channel" button located at the top right.
     - Select a playlist to add (e.g., Media Playlist).
     - Click "Add to Channel" after selecting the playlist.

     - Add the channel to devices as needed.

     - Preview the channel by clicking the "Preview" button to see how it will appear on the TV.
5. **Configure Additional Channel Options**
   
     - Set inventory options (Rec, Med, All Inventory).
     - Adjust the time between screen transitions.
     - Set orientation adjustments if the TV is mounted vertically or upside down.
6. **Preview and Adjust Content**
   
     - Return to the Channels page.
     - Select a channel and click "Preview" to view it on the TV.
     - To change the positioning of items in the slideshow, use drag and drop.
7. **Manage Existing Channels**
   
     - To delete a channel, select it and choose the delete option.
     - To duplicate or hide a channel, select the respective option on the right.

     - Hidden channels can be found in the "Hidden" tab, where they can also be deleted.

- Be careful when deleting channels, as this action is irreversible unless the channel is duplicated first.
- Always preview the channel before finalizing settings to ensure everything appears as intended.

- Use the search bar frequently to quickly find existing channels instead of scrolling through all options.
- Organize channels by naming them clearly and logically to make future management easier.
- Regularly review and clean up hidden channels to maintain an organized workspace.
