# Creating and Managing Seed Media Playlists

## Included below is a video, along with a step-by-step guide covering how to create and manage Seed Media Playlists

### Creating and Managing Seed Media Playlists:

1. **Access the Media Playlists Tab**
   
     - Open Seed Manager and navigate to the Media Playlists tab.
2. **View Existing Playlists**
   
     - Review any existing media playlists. Use the toggle option to filter by all playlists, live playlists, not live, or hidden.
3. **Search for Playlists**
   
     - Utilize the search function by entering a keyword to locate specific playlists.
4. **Create a New Media Playlist**
   
     - Click on "New Media Playlist."
     - Enter a name for the new playlist (e.g., "Kiva Media").
     - To rename a playlist, see below:

     - Click "Add Content" to upload new files or select from the media library.

5. **Select Media Assets**

     - Adjust visibility settings and schedule for individual assets if necessary.
     - Click "Add to Playlist" to include selected files.
6. **Set Playlist Parameters**
   
     - Adjust the time between screens to override default channel settings.
     - Confirm that all desired media items are listed in the playlist.
     - Rearrange the order of media if necessary

7. **Manage Existing Playlists**
   
     - To add content to an existing playlist, select the playlist and click "Add Content."

     - After uploading, click "Add to Playlist" to include the new media item.

8. **Hide or Delete Playlists**
   
     - To hide a playlist, select it and choose the "Hide" option from the menu.
     - If needed, you can delete a hidden playlist from Seed Manager.

### Cautionary Notes

- Double-check visibility settings to ensure that the playlist is accessible to the intended audience.
- Be cautious when hiding \> deleting playlists, as this action is irreversible.

### Tips for Efficiency

- Use descriptive names for playlists to make searching easier.
- Regularly review and update playlists to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Schedule playlists in advance to automate content delivery during peak times or holidays.
- Utilize the search function frequently to quickly find existing playlists instead of scrolling through the list.
