# Adding & Managing Assets in Seed Media Library

## Included below is a video, along with a step-by-step guide covering how to add and manage media assets in the Seed Manager Media Library

**Recommended Image Specs**

- PNG, JPEG, or GIF
- 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios
- 1920 x 1080 pixels (landscape/horizontal)
- 1080 x 1920 pixels (portrait/vertical)
- Horizontal Split Screen Layout image - Refer to Media Settings for ideal sizing as it varies by setup
- Vertical Split Screen Layout image - Refer to Media Settings for ideal sizing as it varies by setup

**Recommended Video Specs**

- MP4
- 1080p resolution minimum (1920x1080 px)

**NOTE: Maximum file size is 3GB** (if your file is bigger than 3GB, contact support and we'll help you upload it)

### Adding & Managing Media in the Seed Manager Library:

1. **Access the Media Library**
   
     - Navigate to the Seed Manager media library interface.
     - Locate the options in the top right corner for uploading files or creating new folders.
2. **Upload a File**
   
     - Choose one of the following methods to upload:
       
           - Multi-select files from your computer's file selector.
           - Drag and drop files directly into the media library.
           - Use the [Canva integration (click here to learn more)](https://support.getseed.io/seed-canva-integration?hsLang=en) to import & sync media assets.
3. **Set Visibility and Scheduling**
   
     - Determine the visibility of the media asset:
       
           - Choose from options such as "All Stores," a specific region, or a single store.

     - Schedule the Media Playlist or Media Asset(s):
       
           - Select the desired date for the asset to run (e.g., next Monday).
           - Set the recurrence (e.g., weekly).
           - NOTE: Schedules can be applied to either the entire Media Playlist, or individual media assets within the Media Playlist

1. **Tag the Media Asset**
   
     - Add relevant tags to the media asset (e.g., "weekly deals").
     - Save the tag.

2. **Finalize Upload**
   
     - Click on **Upload Media** to add the asset to the media library.
3. **Create a New Folder**
   
     - Click on the **New Folder** option.
     - Name the folder (e.g., "Wana").

     - Once the folder is created, you can:
       
           - Drag and drop media files into the folder.
           - Select a file, then use the **Move to Folder** option to place it in the new folder.

4. **Upload Media Directly into a Folder**
   
     - Navigate to the newly created folder.
     - Click on **Upload File** and select the desired file.
     - Rename the file as needed (e.g., "Kiva Chocolate").
     - Upload the media directly into the folder.

### Cautionary Notes

- Ensure that you have the correct visibility settings before uploading to avoid unauthorized access to sensitive media.
- Be mindful of the scheduling settings to prevent media from running at unintended times.

### Tips for Efficiency

- Use consistent naming conventions for files and folders to enhance searchability.
- Regularly review and clean up the media library by deleting outdated or unnecessary files to maintain an organized workspace.
- Familiarize yourself with the Canva integration for seamless media uploads if you frequently use Canva for design.
